Erik Wåhlström : Vadstena-Akademien

An image bank and visual language created for Vadstena-Akademien, which is an academy for the artistic development of opera singers and musicians in Sweden.

A few months ago I got a call from A Hard Days Work. "- Have guns? Will travel? To Vadstena?". "- Tell me more!" I said.

They told me that the academy was founded in 1964 and that quite a few famous singers (pour example Malena Ernman, Loa Falkman and Anne Sofie von Otter) had passed through its doors since it's inception.

Sounds good! But unfortunately not that many great photographs had passed through its doors during its 30+ active years.

"- We need an image bank that reflect the work they do today. Can you make us something that feels young, authentic and real?".

Said and done.

Over 50 photos delivered, which were used extensively in their new profile / homepage / print material and catalogs.

Their latest opera, premiering this summer at the Vadstena Castle, sold out on record time. It makes my heart warm and fuzzy.
